A NOVA juntou-se assim ao Max Delbr\u00fcck Center for Molecular Medicine (Berlim) para a cria\u00e7\u00e3o de um novo centro de excel\u00eancia que visa aplicar tecnologias biom\u00e9dicas e digitais emergentes e solu\u00e7\u00f5es inovadoras no \u00e2mbito da sa\u00fade. Desenvolver os sectores da biotecnologia e das tecnologias da informa\u00e7\u00e3o constitui o objetivo do NIMSB que se prop\u00f5e aumentar a produtividade, o crescimento econ\u00f3mico bem como a cria\u00e7\u00e3o de empregos com o nascimento do novo instituto em Oeiras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ant\u00f3nio Jacinto, professor e investigador da NOVA Medical School e coordenador do projeto NIMSB explica: \u201cEste novo projeto \u00e9 uma parceria entre a Universidade NOVA de Lisboa e o Max Delbr\u00fcck Center for Molecular Medicine, em Berlim, que capacitar\u00e1 o nosso pa\u00eds na utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o de novas tecnologias tais como intelig\u00eancia artificial aplicada \u00e0 biomedicina e metodologias multi-\u00f3micas emergentes, que permitem analisar cada c\u00e9lula do organismo com uma resolu\u00e7\u00e3o nunca antes conseguida. Estas tecnologias fornecem informa\u00e7\u00f5es sem precedentes sobre as causas moleculares do in\u00edcio, progress\u00e3o e tratamento da doen\u00e7a. Novos conceitos diagn\u00f3sticos e terap\u00eauticos permitir\u00e3o a dete\u00e7\u00e3o precoce de doen\u00e7as e aumentar\u00e3o as oportunidades de cura antes que ocorram danos irrepar\u00e1veis, com a promessa de tratar as causas da doen\u00e7a em vez dos seus sintomas\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Em junho passado,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unl.pt\/noticias\/nova\/nimsb-e-bimsb-juntos-em-nova-missao-cientifica\">a NOVA e o MDC realizaram um encontro estrat\u00e9gico tendo em vista a concretiza\u00e7\u00e3o deste projeto ambicioso e inovador<\/a>.
