(abre en una nueva pesta\u00f1a)\">.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O estudo \u00e9 assinado por&nbsp;<strong>Joana Berger-Estilita<\/strong>&nbsp;e&nbsp;<strong>Cristina Granja<\/strong>, investigadoras do CINTESIS, e ainda por Hern\u00e2ni Gon\u00e7alves, Cl\u00e1udia Camila Dias e Altamiro da Costa Pereira, desta mesma Unidade, tendo sido realizado em colabora\u00e7\u00e3o com investigadores Irene Arag\u00e3o, do Centro Hospitalar Universit\u00e1rio do Porto, e Lotti Orwelius, da Universidade de Link\u00f6ping, na Su\u00e9cia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Partindo de uma base de dados com cerca de 700 doentes com trauma, com idades compreendidas entre os 13 e os 100 anos, os autores deste trabalho analisaram as caracter\u00edsticas de 262 sobreviventes nos seis meses posteriores ao trauma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O objetivo foi determinar a influ\u00eancia do sexo, da idade, do tipo de trauma e da dura\u00e7\u00e3o do internamento na incapacidade, na cogni\u00e7\u00e3o (aten\u00e7\u00e3o, mem\u00f3ria e componente verbal) e na qualidade de vida (mobilidade, autocuidado, atividades habituais, dor\/desconforto ansiedade\/depress\u00e3o).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Os investigadores descobriram que cerca de metade dos sobreviventes ficam com uma incapacidade marcada, com problemas cognitivos moderados a graves e com uma baixa qualidade de vida. Os doentes com pior progn\u00f3stico s\u00e3o sobretudo do sexo feminino, mais velhos e com mais tempo de internamento numa Unidade de Cuidados Intensivos (UCI) e no hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Neste trabalho, o grupo de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o desenvolveu ainda o \u201cscore\u201d GHOST, (Global Health Outcome Score after Trauma), o primeiro capaz de identificar os sobreviventes de trauma que ter\u00e3o previsivelmente pior diagn\u00f3stico, independentemente do trauma sofrido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A aplica\u00e7\u00e3o deste novo \u201cscore\u201d pode permitir aos profissionais de sa\u00fade um melhor conhecimento das necessidades destes doentes e um planeamento da reabilita\u00e7\u00e3o mais adequada ap\u00f3s o internamento em Cuidados Intensivos e \u00e0 alta hospitalar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-align:right\"><em>Fonte: <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/noticias.up.pt\/investigadores-do-cintesis-identificam-doentes-com-trauma-em-maior-risco\/\"><em>http:\/\/noticias.up.pt<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mulheres, idosas e com mais tempo de internamento hospitalar\u00a0s\u00e3o os\u00a0doentes com pior progn\u00f3stico entre os que sofrem algum tipo de trauma, independentemente da exist\u00eancia de traumatismo craniano.
