Pesquisadores da UFSCar est\u00e3o entre os melhores cientistas do mundo, conforme reconhecimento publicado na 4\u00aa edi\u00e7\u00e3o do ranking Research.com<\/a>.

O ranking \u00e9 baseado em dados bibliom\u00e9tricos consolidados de plataformas renomadas como OpenAlex e CrossRef. As m\u00e9tricas, que consideram as publica\u00e7\u00f5es e cita\u00e7\u00f5es dos pesquisadores, foram coletadas em 27\/11\/2024 e a posi\u00e7\u00e3o no ranking \u00e9 calculada a partir do \u00edndice D (varia\u00e7\u00e3o do \u00edndice H, que avalia o impacto e a produtividade de um pesquisador ou grupo de pesquisa com base no n\u00famero de cita\u00e7\u00f5es de seus artigos).

O ranking \u00e9 feito por \u00e1reas do conhecimento. Pesquisadores da UFSCar aparecem em cinco \u00e1reas: Bioqu\u00edmica, Ecologia e Evolu\u00e7\u00e3o, Engenharia e Tecnologia, Ci\u00eancia de Materiais e Qu\u00edmica, com destaque para as duas \u00faltimas em n\u00famero de pesquisadores citados.

“Esse expressivo reconhecimento reafirma a excel\u00eancia do corpo docente do Programa de P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Qu\u00edmica (PPGQ) e sua destacada inser\u00e7\u00e3o no cen\u00e1rio cient\u00edfico global. Al\u00e9m de refletir a alta qualidade das pesquisas desenvolvidas no Programa, a conquista evidencia o compromisso cont\u00ednuo com a gera\u00e7\u00e3o e dissemina\u00e7\u00e3o de conhecimento inovador, socialmente relevante e de alto impacto. O PPGQ orgulha-se de sua tradi\u00e7\u00e3o de excel\u00eancia na forma\u00e7\u00e3o de mestres e doutores, preparados para atuar de forma cr\u00edtica e transformadora em diferentes setores da sociedade. A presen\u00e7a de seus docentes entre os mais influentes do mundo refor\u00e7a n\u00e3o apenas o prest\u00edgio da UFSCar, mas tamb\u00e9m o papel estrat\u00e9gico da ci\u00eancia brasileira no desenvolvimento sustent\u00e1vel e na promo\u00e7\u00e3o do bem-estar social”, afirma Ricardo Samuel Schwab, Coordenador do PPGQ.

J\u00e1 o Chefe do Departamento de Qu\u00edmica (DQ), Fernando Cruz Moraes, ressalta que o ranking dos melhores cientistas \u00e9 uma lista confi\u00e1vel de acad\u00eamicos renomados da \u00e1rea de Qu\u00edmica, estabelecida por meio da an\u00e1lise de diversas fontes bibliom\u00e9tricas. “Considerando que, na \u00e1rea de Qu\u00edmica foram examinados 121.518 acad\u00eamicos e os pesquisadores do Brasil ocupam a 17\u00aa posi\u00e7\u00e3o no ranking mundial, nosso Departamento orgulha-se e se engrandece com este resultado”, destaca Moraes.

A Ci\u00eancia de Materiais foi outra \u00e1rea de destaque no ranking. “O Programa de P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Ci\u00eancia e Engenharia de Materiais (PPGCEM) tem por vis\u00e3o ser um programa de p\u00f3s-gradua\u00e7\u00e3o de refer\u00eancia internacional em Ci\u00eancia e Engenharia de Materiais. Ter v\u00e1rios docentes do PPGCEM compondo a lista do ranking para melhores cientistas na \u00e1rea de Ci\u00eancia dos Materiais indica que o PPGCEM tem tido sucesso em atingir esse objetivo”, afirmou Guilherme Zepon, Coordenador do PPGCEM.
